sic • \’sik\ adverb [Latin] (circa 1859): intentionally so written — used after a printed word or passage to indicate that it is exactly as printed or to indicate that it exactly reproduces an original (Ex. Tom said he seed [sic] it all).

Hi Will,

My mother worked at Hunter's Books in Beverly Hills, and she died recently. I was doing some searching of Hunter's, and ran across your post. Just curious if you happen to remember her: Dorothy Van Allen? When did you work there?

I know this is totally random, but hey, that's the Web for ya.
