I find with the uptick in asshat incidents recently I've been fluctuating wildly between supreme calm and apopleptic rage... which is actually an improvement because it used to be all rage. Had I been able to employ your ideal solution after being called a dickhead certainly I wouldn't have had a lighted cigarette thrown at me and I wouldn't now be eyeballing every champagne colored coupe I see. But I'd be lying if I said I could ever inhale/exhale and count to 10 after the driver made his choice to hit me with his burning butt, and if he's unlucky enough to see me again he's gonna be reminded of the consequences of such actions. Or maybe I'll just deep breath and give him a hug. Highly doubt it, but stranger things have happened. I appreciate the advice Jed and you’re absolutely right.
