Thanks for that story. Made my morning. I'm:

a) glad to see that someone else finds the way fixie riders behave (anti-social fashion-victims) infuriating

b) glad to hear that one got taught a lesson, and got his stupid little toy broken. Maybe he'll wake up a get a proper bike.

I'm sooo full of bitterness and hatred, ha ha!

I remember riding at 3:00 in the morning where I saw a car coming towards me. I hurried and made a right and the guy followed and rear ended me.

I did a poor roll that my judo teacher would have berated me. But I quickly jumped to the right after landing because I figured the guy was nuts. Unbelievably he stopped, then rode around my bike and left the scene. WTF? I had to go to the hospital to treat a broken finger but pray to God I don't run into another Mad driver...

Hipsters on fixies - ESPECIALLY the ones that ride brakeless - deserve the Darwin treatment. Heh heh.

Yeah Timur, I'm very happy that physically he emereged unharmed. He certainly came very close to clonking his head against the asphalt, but thankfully managed to avoid that mess.

Interesting you should ask Bikinginla, as I just this morning I relocated the tree behind me atop a bolt on rack I haven't been using -- but not because of wind resistance issues. Any percentage increase of drag added to that already caused by my aging linebacker-esque silhouette would be negligible at best.

Instead the move came because at night the glare of LED lights I have strung on the tree proved to negatively impact my vision.

Man, I'd like to say "unbelievable", but, having seen the way some people ride, it's all too believable.

And doesn't that tree cause a few wind-resistance issues?

What a story. Sorry you didn't have your camera, and I'm glad to hear he's OK, but I almost spit out my cereal.
