I know of several customers who have had great satisfaction using their charge card in order to get great warranty service. It's nice to pay the actual price for stuff, rather than price plus interest. Why pay a premium for everything you buy? It's especially tough during a remodel. I believe commendations and congratulations are in order! Here's what we did over the last 5 years: buy EVERYTHING with our Amex card, pay it down each and every month to zero, and then use the points to pay for vacation hotels in New York and Miami and for a caribean cruise. Doesn't get better than that, and I hope it really pisses off the credit card. They just go on hoping we'll fall off the wagon into deep debt... Don’t it feel good?!
