The Results Are In

First the good news: I’m reeeeeeally pleased with how todays clouds timelapse came out. And that means only more good news: that my attempt to capture the rich cumulo-nimbus display from our Silver Lake rooftop melted neither the computer nor the camera — amazingly, because it was mighty dang hot up there.
But I won’t waste anymore time other than to say go look at what I done caught, or check out the embedded YouTube version below. Purty cool, eh?

I was wondering the same thing Miles. Fires did break out in that region yesterday, one in Lancaster at 5 p.m and another in Santa Clarita (don’t know the time). The Santa Clarita one is still being fought, and the Lancaster one burned 100 acres before being contained so those dark brown clouds near the end could very well be smoke from either blaze. Or

Thought I read of something burning in the Angeles Nat’l Forrest, too…or maybe that was the Santa Clarita blaze. Not looking forward to when the Santa Anas start whipping things up in the fall. Clear that brush now, folks! Oy.
