Thanks Brett. I’ve always been fascinated by jumping spiders since first discovering them back in the 1980s. When I found this fella I couldn’t resist grabbing the cam but I had no idea it would go all Sean Penn on me!

Wow…that sort of freaks me out. I’m not really into spiders, especially those that jump at me! I admire your bravery!

Thanks Jodi, but I don’t know if it’s bravery so much as awe. I’ve encountered plenty of jumping spiders but never one so repeatedly and directly aggressive. If there was courage on display it was the spider’s.
