Nine days ago, after thinking our doorway spider mom was on her last legs having successfully guarded and hatched the dozens of spiderlings from her first egg sac, she surprised and delighted me with a second ball o’ babies to be and since then I’ve been monitoring it pretty much every day in anticipation of Birth Day No. 2.
