An Endeavour To Remember

With Endeavour’s morning arrival in Los Angeles delayed, I scratched plans to bike up to the Observatory for her impending fly-by and instead just parked an adirondack chair atop the roof of our house and camped out until she arrived.
Here’s a still of me and Endeavour taken by my timelapse cam, followed by a photo of Endeavour across Micheltorena Ridge to the west. Last but not least is the brief YouTube clip of the timelapse of me biding my time until Endeavor shows up right near the end:

IT WAS SO AMAZING!
As a brit, I feel obliged to remind you that they spelt the name of the shuttle properly – it’s EndeavoUr.
Jeremy,
This appreciative yank stands corrected (as do all references to the shuttle’s name in the post — albeit without so garishly capitalizing the “u.”
Over here on San Fernando Road at the Glendale-Burbank border the view was phenomenal. After passing over the hills of Griffith Park, the plane banked a hard left and flew a path directly over our heads; since their flight path passed over significant Southern California cultural touchstones I’m thinking the path over San Fernando Road was deliberate, seeing that across the street is the site of the very first airport in Los Angeles (only the control tower remains, owned by Disney Studios today).
awesome shots and video!
I had a fairly long distance look at it in my neck of the woods. But I had a clue. I was near one of our major airports and a small putt-putt airport. For ~5mins ALL air traffic stopped. That was my clue to run over to the ridge near where I was and look. Pretty neat to see it lope around!
Am I the only one who thinks the jets trailing the shuttle look like couple of remoras following a great white shark?
