Backyard rain gauge as found at 0700 check this morning.
Gauge brought indoors to measure the amount of rain
First inch from removed filled inner cylinder.
Inner cylinder drained and refilled from outer cylinder for second inch.
Third inch.
Fourth inch.
Remaining 0.83 inches.
The weight of the water: 2.114 pounds (weight of pitcher subtracted).
