Plaque No. 2

On the south side of the tree, this plaque is a bit more descriptive than the first one. It reads: Lang Oak, Encino's 1000-year-old oak, truck diameter 24 feet, leaf spread 150 feet, Declared September 5, 1963, Historic-Cultural Monument No. 24 by the City of Los Angeles Cultural Heritage Commission, Cultural Affairs Department.
