Ranger alerted us to one of our local opossums being out on the roof of the house to the north of us, so I busted out camera and the million-candlepower light — which Susan shined on it — to catch it hanging out. People hate ‘em. I hate people who hate ‘em because the opossum is one of the most remarkable and resilient creatures on the planet.

They may not be as pretty as some other backyard creatures, but I find them just as fascinating. Especially the part about the 13 nipples! I grew up where the wildlife consisted of the occasional mongoose and Cane Spiders with a centipede thrown in from time to time. The first time I saw a squirrel I was 17 and OMG I was so excited! I love the backyard critters!

Will,
unrelated to this post, I just checked out the Webcams. AWeZUM! The Webcams made the joke of the day. There is the bird bath, no birds, and there is the club chair, occupied by a cat. LuLz.
